The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi held the meeting on 5th of May 2020 and reported that around 30 different vaccines are being developed in the country for fighting against Coronavirus. American institute Moderna claims to be completing its trials on human for the developed vaccines against Covid-19 by June 2020. Oxford Institute developed the vaccine for Covid-19 and are even started manufacturing the vaccine in large scale, they are quite confident of the effectiveness of the vaccine. According to Israel's defence minister they have been able to successfully developed an antidote against Covid-19 virus.

Government of India had launched a mobile App "AarogyaSetu" on 2nd of April 2020 to spread awareness of COVID-19 and to connect essential COVID-19 - related health services to the people of India. It is a tracking app which uses the smartphone's GPS and Bluetooth features to track the coronavirus infection. The app is available for Android and iOS mobile operating systems. With Bluetooth, it tries to determine the risk if one has been near (within six feet of) a COVID-19 - infected person, by scanning through a database of known cases across India. Using location information, it determines whether the location, belongs to one of the infected areas based on the data available. The App is touted to be the fastest growing mobile App with 50 million plus downloads within 10 days of its launch.
